Little Rainbow Trail Extension - Salida, Colorado
Little Rainbow TrailArrowhead Trails, Inc. (ATI) was pleased to help once again with another segment of a great new local trail near our home-base in Salida, Colorado. The new project was headed up by our amazing local trail advocacy group, Salida Mountain Trails (SMT). The project was a group effort that included SMT volunteers, Southwest Conservation Corps (SCC), and ATI, to build the 2.5 mile long Little Rainbow Extension Trail below Methodist Mountain on the south side of Salida. SMT asked ATI to assist in the design and construction of one of the more difficult segments of the proposed trail that traversed through some challenging and steep terrain. The project turned out to be another great new addition to our local trail network and ATI was thrilled to once again be a part of it all. Long live Salida Mountain Trails!
