International Mountain Bicycling Association
Project continues today creating the longest downhill freeride trail in Asia. These lift accessed trails will ultimately descend almost 5000 feet of elevation from the upper reaches of the Mt. Isarog’s volcanic cloud forest, past amazing waterfalls and jungle cliffs, through rice paddies to the town of El Campo below. Additional trail and water based adventure eco-tourism is being developed by Governor LRay along the remote coastline of Caramoan National Park. Singletrack Jungle, S.A., Montezuma, Costa Rica

Arrowhead Trails, Inc. has been an Above and Beyond Corporate Supporter for IMBA for over a dozen years, helping train IMBA/Subaru Trail Care Crew for the first seven years and assisting with initial development of the Trail Solutions Program and the design and construction of sustainable mountain bike trails. We assisted IMBA with mountain bike trail design principals, state-of-the-art mechanized construction techniques, and risk management issues for each of these innovative, renowned trail reference books. We are graciously acknowledged in each appendix. Arrowhead Trails has provided thousands of hours of volunteer advocacy, around the world. Arrowhead Trails continues to assist IMBA with their rapidly growing overseas trail efforts, including the following international clients in the Philippines and Costa Rica.
Volunteered to work on three trail projects for Governor LRay Villafuerte. Projects included: training trail crews, master planning, GPS, designing trails, and creating an international, World-Class, mountain bike park at the Capitol of Pili, adjacent to world famous Cam Sur Watersports Complex. 
Non-Profit Organizations
Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center, Colorado Arrowhead Trails designed and constructed ADA crusher fines trails through a ropes course and around the town reservoir. Facilty is developed for participants with disabilities related to mobility and head injuries.
Provided youth core crew leader training for eleven youth corps for three seasons. Multiple-day trainings were conducted at Sylvan Lake State Park, Golden Gate Canyon State Park, and Ridgeway State Park. Crested Butte Land Trust, Town of Crested Butte, Colorado Worked with 200 volunteers on National Trails Day 1999 to re-open the redesigned and constructed Lower Loop Trail. One mile singletrack, 0.5 mile of surfaced, ADA trail, and three bridges were constructed, on an historic mining property that had been closed to residents for years. Wyoming Conservation Corps (WCC), Laramie, Wyoming Provided multi-day training for trail crew leaders and youth corps members at Curt Gowdy State Park, outside of Laramie, Wyoming.

United States Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colorado Developed and implemented a Trails Master Plan for the Falcon Trail (14 Miles) on campus and 3 miles in the Farish Recreation Area. Falcon Trail voted best Mountain Bike Trail in Colorado Springs 2007. Five miles of high altitude trail maintenance and log puncheon construction on the Diamond Lake Trail, west of Nederland, CO, in the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area. All work was above 10,500’ elevation and allowed no machinery or power tools. South Platte Ranger District, United States Forest Service ATI installed grade dips and enhance tread outslopes along the Buffalo Creek trail system to prevent erosion after the Buffalo Creek Fire (15 miles). South Platte Ranger District, United States Forest Service In the process of redesigning 25 miles of ATV and technical motorcycle trail system within the highly used Rampart Range Motorcycle Club area, west of Castlerock, Colorado. Cheyenne Mountain State Park, Colorado Springs, Colorado Designed and constructed 16+ miles of trail for Colorado’s first mountain biking trail-based State Park, including: The Talon, Blackmer Loop, Bobcat Way, Acorn Alley, Souring Kestral, and Sundance. Reclamation of the Cresent Meadow reroute. Design of Crescent Meadows. Eleven Mile State Park, St. George, Colorado Developed Trails Master Plan for infrastructure trails and backcountry trails. Constructed 6 miles of natural surface trails for Oklahoma’s first mountain biking trail-based State Park in Beavers Bend State Park; in conjunction with Oklahoma Earthbike Fellowship. This amazingly beautiful Park averages 50” of rain annually, and looks like parts of Costa Rica. South Carolina State Parks Hickory Knob State Park, McCormick County, South Carolina Consulting, design, and training on sustainable mountain biking trail system for a total of over 7 miles of trail constructed by the fabulous Long Cane Trails, LLC. South Carolina’s first state park with trails designed and built by mountain bikers for mountain bikers. Wyoming State Parks & Historic Sites Curt Gowdy State Park, Laramie, Wyoming Designed and constructed 10+ miles of trail for Wyoming’s first mountain biking trail-based State Park, a pilot project for the state. Project included three bridges and construction of technical trail features, pump track and jumps. Over 60 blast charges were set to open up canyon trails. |

Constructed and maintained numerous trails in Boulder County: Design and supervise volunteers to construct the Eagle Wind Trail (2.5 miles) in the Rabbit Mountain Open Space. Chaffee County, Salida & Buena Vista, Colorado Facilitated and participated in public meetings regarding the Chaffee County trails Master Plan in 1996 & 2001. Douglas County, Colorado Numerous design & build projects totaling over 25 miles include: Sharptail Trail, Swallowtail Loop, Ringtail Trail, Hidden Mesa Trail, Spruce Mountain Trail, Eagle Mountain Trail, and Dawson Buttes. Client of the Year 2008! Parks and Trails, Castle Rock, Colorado Designed and constructed East West Regional Trail, 2 miles completed in 2007, 6+ miles more scheduled for the 2008 season. Designed 2 miles of low-grade trail for S Mountain to allow pedestrian, especially seniors, access. Route is separated from the summit road but provides safety and visibility from trail. Summit County Open Space and Trails Several miles of the Oro Grande Trail were rerouted over the years, mainly through USFS lands. These projects helped preserve access, and avoid the shooting range and landfill. |

Projects totaling over 5 miles include: Ajax Trail, Ute Cemetery Trail, North Star Trail, Barbee Trail, Benedict Trail, Three Trees, Moore Open Space Trail. Rebuilt two bridges (150’ & 130’ spans) on the Rio Grande Trail. City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks, Colorado Projects totaling over 5 miles of new trail include: Sensory Trail (ADA), Left Hand Trail, and the Marshall Mesa Trail connector. Routine maintenance projects include: Mt. Sanitas access, Big Blue Stem Trail. Dowdy Draw Trail, and the Foothills Trail. Town of Buena Vista, Colorado Barbara Whipple Trail Plan and the Arkansas River Park Trail (1700ft) accessible trail. Projects totaling over 5 miles of new trail include: Whitewater Park Trails, West Moonstone, Iowa Hill, Warrior’s Mark, Breckenridge Mountain Village, Pence Miller Ditch Trail, and Carter Park Trail. Castle Rock Parks and Recreation, Castle Rock, Colorado Design and construct over 10 miles of trail including: Mitchell Gulch Trail, Red Hawk Open Space Trail, South Meadows, Pikes Peak Overlook, Longs Peak View, and Quarry Mesa Trail System. Colorado Springs Trails and Open Space, Colorado Construction of 2+ miles of the Chamberlain Trail and stone retaining walls. City of Fort Collins Natural Areas, Colorado Designed and constructed 14 miles natural surface trails, a 0.5 mile surfaced accessible trail, three natural bridges, and three shared-use trails: Ginny Trail, DR Trail, Valley Loop, and Eden Valley Spur.
Provide consulting and volunteer management services for the construction of the Davidson Mesa Trail. City of Paris, Texas Trail design and construction workshop for the Public Works to assist in the trail development at Lake Crook Recreation Area. Town Of Snowmass Village, Colorado Constructed the 3.5 mile Tom Blake Trail, a portion of the Loop trail around Snowmass. The Ditch Trail was constructed to keep people off road. The Blue Sage Trail, Mountain View Estates Trail, Howelson Hill Trail and the Spring Creek rerouted around private property to preserve public access. Town Of Vail, Colorado and USFS One mile of dozer cut trail the Forest Service crew finished. The North Trail (3200ft) was reconstructed and re-graded because of the erosion caused from high motorcycle traffic. |

25 Miles of single track mountain bike trails on a private ranch in Saint Jo, Texas, it was designed, constructed, and opened to the public in 1998. Still hosting races today and home of one of Texas’ hardest mountain bike trails – Deveil’s Backbone, 2000+ feet of climbing in a little over 4 miles. Castle Rock Development Company, Castle Rock, Colorado Designed and constructed 6 miles of trail for town and community. Copper Mountain Resort, Copper Mountain, Colorado 5 Mile Trail designed and constructed from the top of the Eagle Chair Lift. Eagle Ranch, Eagle, Colorado Construction of 2 miles of surfaced trail along Eagle River Designed and constructed 5 mile, stacked loop trail system for gated community outside of Sedalia, CO for Essenterra. Falcon Wing Estates, Indian Hills, Colorado Designed and constructed a 3 mile private loop trail system on 35 acres. Four Peaks Development, Aspen, Colorado Designed and constructed Top of The Mill Connection to connect town with the Ajax Trail on Aspen Mountain. Maryvale Village LLC, Winter Park, Colorado 2 Mile rough-in project finished by the Colorado Youth Corp for USFS access preservation through a new development. Design & build 2 miles of hiking/angling access trails for private client. Piney Peak Hereford Ranch, Clark, Colorado Design & build 10+ miles of mountain biking trails for private client. Pole Creek Preserve, Fraser, Colorado 6 Mile loop private homeowners association in Fraser, Colorado. Private Trail System, Evergreen, Colorado Designed and constructed a 1.5 mile challenging mountain bike singletrack. Private Trail System, Santa Fe, New Mexico 2.5 mile trail loop system was designed, constructed, and mapped for land owner. Designed and constructed 4 mile, stacked loop trail system for gated community outside of Denver, CO Skyland Metro District, Crested Butte, Colorado This 1 Mile Trail around Grant Lake is (0.75 mile) of 48” wide crusher fines and (0.25 mile) of 24” wide natural surface trail. Steamboat Management Group, Steamboat Springs, Colorado Developed and implemented the Green Belt Master Plan for Storm Meadows Condominiums, a ski-in, ski-out, trail improvement project. Designed and constructed mountain bike specific trails for a mountain bike trail system along with the International Mountain Bicycling Association. Trappers Crossing LTD, Crested Butte, Colorado Designed and rerouted the Green Lake Trail (4000 ft) that accesses Wildcat Ridge around private property. |
